This equipment controls the train bus (WTB) communication between various coupled units.
Two redundant gateways are fi tted per unit (GW1 and GW2) to
improve availability. In each instant, only one of these shall be
activated.
On starting the system, the Gateways of the various units communicate
with each other to determine the current train confi guration.
Once this process (known as Train inauguration) is complete,
one of the Gateways takes control and controls the WTB communications
in accordance with the confi guration of each Gateway. Once
in normal operation, the inauguration is performed as many times
as the train confi guration changes.
